SUPA DE CURCAN CU TAITEI DE CASA/ TURKEY SOUP WITH HOMEMADE NOODLES

Am fost invitata sa particip la un concurs orgazinat de En direct d'Athenes, un blog cu specific grecesc. Mary a conceput un joc de retete pentru supe 1001 soupes ...reci sau calde, dulci sau sarate, mixate, etc. N-am mai stat pe ganduri si am ales o reteta de supa traditional romaneasca ...supa de curcan cu taitei de casa.
I was invited to participate to a contest organized by En direct d'Athènes, a cooking blog with food originally from Greece. Mary has designed a game based on soups recipes, named "1001 soupes" ... cold and hot, sweet or salted, mixed, etc. I have accepted her invitation and I have prepared a traditional Romanian soup ... turkey soup with homemade noodles.

Ingrediente:
  • carne de curcan (piept, pipota, gat)/ turkey meat (breast, gizzard, neck)
  • 1 ceapa/1 onion
  • 1 telina mica/1 small celery
  • 2 morcovi/ 2 carrots
  • 1/2 ardei gras/ 1/2 pepper
  • frunze de telina congelate (vezi aici)/frozen celery leaves
  • taietei de casa (1 ou, sare si faina cat cuprinde)/ homemade noodles (1 egg, salt and flour)
  • sare si piper/ salt and pepper
  • patrunjel proaspat/ fresh parsley
Spalam carnea si o punem la fiert in apa cu un praf de sare. Avem grija sa adunam spuma pe care o formeaza supa la suprafata. Adaugam ceapa intreaga si legumele taiate in bucatele si lasam sa fiarba.
Wash the meat and start boiling it in hot water with salt. We have to take care to keep the water clean by removing the foam left by the meat. Add an unsliced onion and all the others sliced vegetables and continue to boil.

Intre timp pregatim taiteii de casa: batem un ou cu un praf de sare si incorporam faina cat cuprinde pana obtinem un aluat consistent.
Infainam suprafata mesei cu faina si intindem aluatul foarte bine. Rulam si apoi taiem fasii cat mai mici. Desfacem fasiile de taitei si presaram faina peste acestea daca mai este nevoie. Lasam taiteii la uscat cateva minute.
Meanwhile we can prepare the noodles: mix an egg with a pinch of salt and add flour untill the dough will be smooth-textured, very firm and dry. Put some flour on the table and spread the dough in a very thin layer. Roll it and cut it in small strips. Afterwards we straighten the noodles strips and sprinkle some flour all over them. Leave the noodles become dry for a few minutes.

Cand legumele si carnea de curcan sunt fierte, scoatem ceapa si adaugam taiteii (scuturati de faina). Ceapa se paseaza si se pune inapoi in supa. Condimentam cu sare si piper dupa gust.
When the vegetables and the meat are boiled, remove the onion and add the noodles. Smash the onion and add it back to the soup. Add salt and pepper.

Cand au fiert si taitei, supa este gata. Se serveste cu patrunjel proaspat presarat deasupra.
Va doresc pofta buna!
When the noodles are boiled, meaning that will become soft, the soup is ready. Serve it with cut fresh parsley. Bon appetite!
